Description
The DISRUPTIVE project, of which PRODUTECH is a partner, is organising the course "Fundamentals of Machine Controlled Learning". The course will be held in mixed mode and in Spanish, with two face-to-face sessions and a part of autonomous work by students, up to a maximum of 10 participants.
The course will be open to all and will provide knowledge on the introduction to machine learning, generalisation theory, regularisation and validation techniques, linear and non-linear models, neural networks, support vector machines (SVM) and decision trees.
This training will be given by Dr. Ignacio de Miguel and Dr. Ramón J. Durán Barroso, both Full Professors of the University of Valladolid (UVA).
The registration period will be open until 15/07/2022, at 14:00, until full capacity is reached, you can register using the following form.
The course has a duration of 30 hours, which will be distributed as follows:
- 10 classroom hours distributed in 2 sessions: 18 and 19 July 2022 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the ETSI of Telecommunications of the University of Valladolid.
- 20 hours of independent work. The delivery of the exercises will take place on 12 September 2022.
The event has the following requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Python programming and mathematics at first year level in engineering, science or economics/business.
- Have a computer equipment to follow the course (preferably a laptop to take it to the classroom sessions).
- Installation of the ANACONDA software (https://www.anaconda.com). Anaconda is a distribution of the Python programming language for data science, machine learning, large-scale data processing, etc., that aims to simplify package management and deployment.
