The mission of PRODUTECH DIH is to promote the digitalization of the manufacturing industry, through an intervention directed to production technologies and leveraging the role they assume in the digital transformation of the industry.

The PRODUTECH DIH Portal aims to facilitate the access to the services and organizations that constitute the PRODUTECH DIH.

The PRODUTECH DIH is composed of a set of 19 organisations, integrating a critical mass of capabilities, skills and complementary services. It implements and exploits, in a concerted manner, a set of activities, infrastructures and resources, for the provision of services enabling and supporting the digitalisation of the manufacturing industry.

A vast portfolio of services is provided. Among them: the definition of technology implementation roadmaps, the support to the identification of suppliers and partners, the validation and demonstration of technologies and solutions, technology studies, advanced training, support to the development of new businesses and identification of funding sources.

In this sense, PRODUTECH DIH consistently integrates:

  1. the support to the digital transformation of companies from the production technologies industry
  2. the support to the digital transformation of the companies of the several sectors of the manufacturing industry, leveraging the crucial role that the production technologies have in their digital transformation, either at the level of the transformation of their processes or at the level of the impact that these technologies have in the potentiation of new business models and new products and services.

It is a response to the transformative potential and the horizontal needs of the manufacturing industry, which articulates capacities, competences, infrastructures and services, with a multi-regional presence and intervention, ensuring the necessary proximity (geographical, thematic, sectorial and relational capital) to the industry.

It thus aims to respond:

  1. to the need to explore all the potential associated to the adoption of advanced technologies,
  2. to the disparities between regions and sectors, in digitalisation, and
  3. to the urgency in promoting conditions and initiatives that allow industry to access, explore and take advantage of the transformative power of digitalisation.

PRODUTECH DIH consolidates the intervention of two DIH initiatives that are already on the ground for several years, nationally and with strong European intervention as well, namely the PRODUTECH DIH Platform and the iMan Norte Hub.
