Description
Following the high-level governance meeting of the European platform of national initiatives on Digitisation of Industry, led by Commissioner Mariya Gabriel on 21 November 2017, 3 new Working Groups were created in order to advance the digitisation of European industry. Considered as one of the key initiatives to promote digitisation in the European economic fabric, one of these Working Groups addresses the stimulation of Digital Innovation Hubs.
The Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) are defined as one-stop-shops to support the digital transformation of industry and SMEs. These DIH are configured as a network of entities, including centres of competence, industry support organizations and others, being led by an entity that ensures the orchestration of the network facing the facilitation of services to industry.
Since 2017, PRODUTECH has seen the function as IHL that it has been performing recognised by the European Commission, integrating the recently published catalogue of IHLs in operation in Europe.
This 2nd meeting was about facilitating SMEs' access to finance for their digitisation.
